I added several listings to eBay with a quantity of 1 but when the listing was published on eBay the quantity was 1 (lot of 2). I had to go in manually and change the quantity to remove sell as a lot of 2.

In Add listing form you will see the option of setting lot qty under the checkout section as shown in the image he e..if you don't want to use lot then let it default to 1 it won't add a listing as a lot.

I found the setting to fix this. Not sure why default is lot of 2, though.
